Open Employment

Career Systems supports more than 800 people with a disability or disadvantage and has sites at Park Holme (head office), Morphett Vale, Salisbury, Woodville, Murray Bridge and Mount Barker. Career Systems has also moved into Port Pirie following the integration of Living Skills with the Bedford Group.

Career Systems services include:

Open Employment or Disability Employment Network (DEN) service, providing assistance to job seekers with a disability to obtain and retain jobs in open employment.

• Personal Support Programme (PSP), assisting 344 disadvantaged people who find it difficult to be involved in the workforce and/or community, through a range of programmes to stabilize their circumstances, improve confidence & life skills, engage in the community & undertake training;

• Job Placement Employment & Training (JPET) which is similar to Personal Support, but with a focus on younger disadvantaged persons (15-21 year olds).

• An Employment Assistance Programme (EAP) which provides employment support to people who are experiencing barriers to employment.
